NEW YEAR: NEW ID

A 4 Part Workshop Series

It's a new year, and it's time for you to take that stand and make the commitment to yourself to develop your craft. Instructional designers, frankly, are a dime a dozen right now. It is THE hot career as more people fall into training out of necessity because so much training went virtual, and more and more teachers are leaving the classroom and looking for a brand new career. Now, this is not to scare you, it's to tell you the truth, and give you what I call the “Pull Yourself Together” moment. You need to start on your ID career today and stop crowdsourcing your success.

You can ask all the questions you want on Facebook and LinkedIn, buy all the courses, but that won’t work unless you start putting in the work. So, it's time to get off the googler and start putting in that work.

In this 4 week workshop, I am going to walk side by side with you as you begin to set the stage for the next level in your instructional design career.

Here’s what we will be covering:

  • Week One (January 14, 2022): Know Your Worth

    • We are going to help you get laser-focused on what you want in the next year, and help you break free from those mindset issues and become the instructional designer you have always wanted to be.

  • Week Two (January 21, 2022): Building Your Brand

    • Here, we are going to talk about building your brand, and how you can stand out from the LinkedIn crowd.

  • Week Three (January 28, 2022): Resume/Cover Letter Development

    • Getting you ready for interviews (both for full-time roles, and sales calls). We will make sure you have your portfolio and resume/cover letter prepped and ready to go.

  • Week Four (February 24, 2022): Interviewing as an ID

    • Finally, we’ll spend time practicing interviewing as an instructional designer!
